Monticello

My summer is now complete! One of the reasons I agreed to move back east for the summer is so that I could show Matt the house in which he is going to build for me someday. Welcome to Monticello, my favorite house in the USA and home of the great Thomas Jefferson. I'll keep this short and let all of the many pictures explain my obsession. We started off by walking around the beautiful gardens and Jefferson's grave before we were able to go on our tour of the home. After which we spent LOTS and LOTS of time taking pictures. The only downside to this story is they don't let you take pictures inside the home...so lucky for you this post in only half as long as it could have been! Enjoy, and keep an eye out for my very own "Mini-Monticello" in about 20 years :)

This is the face you give to your husband before you enter your dream home, yet are annoyed he keeps taking pictures of you...

The amazing gardens that include your very own "tea room" in the middle of it

As we were leaving Jefferson's grave this headstone caught our eye. Matt's oldest brother passed away when he was just 19 from a brain tumor and this is the very inscription that is on his headstone too. Though I never got to meet Roger I know this was the perfect description of him!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE.....tah dah!

Just chillin with good old Tom

Matt and I were busting a gut at this old couple. Gotta love that sweet jacket she has on, and wow those suspenders are so hot right now! Basically we laughed because this is us in 50 years.
Me invisioning the recreation of my house in the year 2029 ;)

Your life is complete! Well, as complete as it can be without having your own Monticello that is. I know that Matt can do it to, so make sure you hold him to it!
